About the Engineering Atlas Plat Index
An Atlas Plat in Salt Lake City is a map depicting the subdivisions of land within the City. These plats are a scheme of how the City was originally laid out. The City started with plats A through L, Salt Lake City Survey. As the City expanded its boundaries, 5 acre and 10 acre Big Field Survey Plats were added and then the numbered plats 1 through 76. They show information about streets, public right of ways and, some private right of ways.
Using the Map

As the map zooms in, a more detailed plat index will appear. Once the index appears, you can click on the index to view or download a plat.

Within each City Block, there are sometimes further subdivisions of land, Atlas Plats are also used to show these. |
